Members’ Get-Together with Ian Robertson

Members are invited to join our discussion with Ian Roberston from the Alloa Advertiser, next Monday – Oct 25th from 1pm.
We will be discussing ‘Our move to our bespoke new premises’. It will be a great chance to find out what you think of our new base. If you haven’t had a chance to visit yet, why not come along and see what everyone else thinks too!

Alloa Writers are hosting a Public Performance Night at Peppe’s Lounge tomorrow Oct 22nd from 7pm-10pm. £1 Entry.

It is an open mic evening and everyone is welcome to perform or just go along and enjoy the atmosphere and some creativity.

Move completed!

Well, the move was completed last week. There has been a great effort over the last few days to get everything unpacked and getting the New Base into a usable state. Well done to everyone involved!

There are still a few things being tweaked, but we are open if you want to drop in and check out the new premises. 🙂

We aren’t running any workshops quite yet, but there are some exciting events lined up for the near future. Details will be up soon, so stay tuned!

Move Delayed :(

The Big Move Update – Reachout Base is Closed

First the good news… The moving people are booked for next Wednesday (6th Oct).

As you would expect preparations are well under way, which brings us to the bad news…

It has been decided that in the interest of Health & Safety, the Base will be closed to members until we are into the new premises (Monday 11th October).

There is still a lot of artwork in the Base which hasn’t been claimed/collected. We are very pushed for storage space in the new premises so would greatly appreciate it, if you have work in the Base,  please could you make arrangements to collect your work before Wednesday 6th.

The Big Move

As of 10th October 2010 we hope to be up and running in our new premises at the Makers Village. We would like to say a big thank you to all who helped support Reachout prior to relocating and also to remind everyone that of this date we will no longer be at Glasshouse Loan. Reminder: Reachout is Closed

Just a wee reminder that Reachout has now closed down to prepare for the move. Members are welcome to come in and help with the clear out but no artwork or workshops will be going on. See you in the shiny new premises!

Clearout!!

As part of the preparation for our Big Move we are clearing out the Base. If you have any artwork stored here, please would you collect it ASAP.

As well as this giving us more room for new things it will also help to ensure the safety of pieces that are currently lying hazardously around the base.

There are some pieces in the basement so please ask if you can’t find your work!
